Southern Vermont consists of two counties; Bennington County to the West, and Windham County to the East.

Vermont remains primarily a rural state with only 27 percent of our half million population living in "metropolitan" areas. To give you perspective, that ranks Vermont 49th in the United States. Yet we hold our towns and downtowns dear. Rich in history, these towns reflect the mystique, pride, and persnicketyness that makes Vermont unique.
