About the artist
Frederick Zobel is a retired Interior Designer who has been building dollhouses for his wife's former antique and doll shop in Manchester and Sunderland Vermont known as "Pleasures and Treasures" since 1977.

SPECIFICATIONS

Georgian style (English) Dollhouse, custom built 1" scale, handcrafted throughout.

Dimensions:
Main House 19" wide x 24.5" high x 17.5" deep
TOTAL LENGTH: 40"

Porch/Veranda unit and kitchen unit are free standing with bases joining main structure.

Shells made of 3/8 finish plywood. All parts cut from basswood. Exterior finish is painted stucco.

All doors and window frames cut by hand, also front staircase and urns. 3" plywood base covered with imitation marble to represent stonework.

Interior featuring hand built staircase with built-in closet. Ceiling cove and baseboard moulding throughout, all doors and window frames painted to match wallpaper.

Completely electrified: working ceiling fixtures in bathroom, staircase, and kitchen. Country style chandelier in dining area. Baseboard outlets throughout. Working coach lamp near entrance door.

Entire house wallpapered. Bedroom and living room feature imported wallpaper from Germany.

Floors wood "plank" in oak. Floral decor made from dried flowers.

Bedroom curtains made from lacey fabric. Full length tie-back drapes in living room.
